After so much rain recently, it is nice to see the sun break through the clouds. I took this in Carrigaline, Co.Cork just after 9pm and we have so much light now right up until 10.30pm

While out for a walk in Tracton Woods, I just stopped and listened – to birdsong and to the quiet and calm all around me

Spiritual Thought For The Week

Sunday Homily
At the weekend we celebrated Corpus Christi. It is not always easy to explain, but its core belief is that Jesus did not leave us just a memory but is still very much with us. The Eucharist is not a reminder of Jesus as a historical figure, but that Jesus still continues to nourish, strengthen and journey with his people. Love always looks for a way to remain present.
Bread is one of the world’s most staple foods nourishing millions of people. Fresh bread tastes beautiful. Old stale bread tastes awful. When we receive communion it is a beautiful fresh moment. We are touched and blessed with God’s love. The presence of Jesus is with us.
Communion gives us life and hope.
Communion gives us courage and strength on our daily journey.
Communion is a personal moment.
Communion is a personal connection.
It is God blessing you with love.
Corpus Christi reminds us that God’s love always finds a way to be present. The Eucharist is a living gift and always will be.
