As we move into the last day of 2007 we say goodbye and look forward in hope. Already nature is very much looking forward with these young daffodils pushing forth their shoots.

N.B Even though this website began back on June 14th 2004 the archive only began on Dec 22nd 2007!

(Welcome to our brand new look for Today Is My Gift To You. This has been a response to your feedback. We are still tweaking and adjusting so your feedback during the coming few weeks is important. ‘The flower does not bear the root. The root bears the flower and the flower is merely the evidence of the vitality of the root.’ ~ Woodview Wilson

We are about to say goodbye to the year just gone. There are parts of the year just gone, that we’re glad to leave behind. It may have been a personal tragedy, bereavement, an illness, family troubles, mistakes made and much more. For some the new year just cannot come soon enough. But there are also parts of this year that were special, influential and memorable. These moments are worth remembering and holding onto. Like the roots of a plant or tree they are vitally important. They can give us direction and sustenance as we begin a new year. We say thanks for God’s gentle presence in our lives throughout the year just gone. This includes both what was good and not so good. God’s continued blessings on each of us as we begin a new year.

(P.S As we journey through Christmas/New Year its time to relax and take it easy. Our thoughts and pictures from here to Jan 2nd will be taken from my book ‘A Year In reflection’ which is a collection of the best of 365 thoughts and photographs from this website. From Jan 2nd everything will be back to new photos and thoughts. Thanks….James
