Photo was taken overlooking Wicklow town and the Irish Sea (Irl)

The views overlooking Wicklow are indeed very impressive but looks can also be deceptive. A blue sky and a blue sea should all add up to a warm sunny day in April. But as this photo was taken a bitterly cold wind was sweeping up the hill. During this month of April and May many of our photos will be coming from Co.Wicklow, better known as the ‘Garden County of Ireland’.

‘Sometimes we turn to God when our foundations are shaking, only to find it is God who is shaking them.’ ~Author Unknown

This may come as a surprise to us. Surely God can’t be shaking our foundations when we need everything to steady us. Is there not enough trying to do that to us without adding God to the list? Well we can take comfort in knowing that God never sends us sadness, pain or suffering just for the sake of it. That would indeed be a very cruel and harsh God who would not have many followers. But there are times when God wants to prompt us or wake us up. This happens when we take life, everything and anyone completely for granted. Aren’t we all guilty of taking for granted so many gifts and opportunities? It is good that God and indeed those closest and nearest to us, gently shake us from time to time.
