The annual BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition was officially opened yesterday. Despite initial fears that it may have to be postponed because of the weather it was all systems go yesterday. It is one of the world’s finest showcases of science, technology, engineering and maths. As part of the colourful opening display, the riders in our photo performed all sorts of acrobatics on BMX bikes to a very enthusiastic audience.
