A cross section of bees within a hive are busy at work. The queen can be spotted in the centre of picture with a white spot on her back. This is painted onto her back to make her easily identifiable among hundreds of bees. It is not harmful in any way to her and makes beekeeping so much easier, once you can see that she is laying eggs, healthy and active.

‘Buried deep within each of us is a spark of greatness, a spark that can be fanned into flames of passion and achievement. That spark is not outside of you – it is born deep within you.’ ~James A.Ray

One can call this spark different names, but it can also be called a Divine spark. This spark has been with us from our first moment. It is deep within us, precious and sacred. Life can be challenging and tough at the best of times. It polishes us and sometimes wears us down. It can do this so strongly that the spark within, gets smothered and sometimes even lost. This should never happen but it does. Every one of us has the potential to do something special and do something outside our comfort zone. It is easy to settle with what we have and reflect on what might have been. It is so easy to get negative and perhaps give up on our plans for tomorrow and beyond. What is my spark within? What would I like to do? How can this happen for me? With many adult education classes beginning this month, could I begin with one of those?
