‘Do not fear God who wishes you no harm, but love God a great deal who wishes you so much good.’ ~St.Francis De Sales

There is great wisdom in the old saying that love is what we are born with and fear is what we have learned here. We have many fears, some of them realistic but many of them unfounded and unnecessary. Some of these are fed by the worries and anxieties of others. Some are fed by bad experiences that can go back many years. Surprisingly there are people out there who also fear God. There is a sense that because we have failed and done wrong then God is upset, angry and will hold it against us. The answer to that one is simple: never. God wishes each of us so much good and love each day. Like warm rays of sunshine we can soak them up or hide in a dark corner. It is our loss when we hide in the dark. God can%u2019t ever force or pull us out but the invitation is to always be open to God’s love, goodness and blessings each day.
