Today is a solemn and sacred day as we mark Good Friday. Our photo today is explained below

Thought on Friday – March – 25/03/2016

I am currently the school chaplain in Coláiste Pobail Bheanntraí (Bantry Community College). During the past week few weeks we had a big wooden cross in our Prayer Room. There was a bowl of barbed thorns next to the cross. The invitation was to push into the wooden cross one of these thorns, if you had a worry, a problem, something painful or difficult happening in your life. As the days went on the cross filled up with so many thorns. It was a gentle reminder that life is never straight forward for anyone. The cross is something we all can clearly relate to. On Good Friday Jesus holds all the thorns of our life, all the pain, the hurt, the disappointments, the darkness and the setbacks. Everything is held in his outstretched arms.
