Significance Of Today

Ramadan began last Sunday and continues all the way to Monday April 8th Ramadan is one of the most important events in the Muslim world. It takes place during the ninth month of the Islamic year. It usually falls between the months of March and April and follows the lunar calendar, meaning that it starts on the night of the crescent moon. During this holy month, Muslims fast from sunrise to sunset, focusing on spiritual reflection and community. Ramadan is a time for self-improvement and bringing people together in celebration of faith.

Thought For The Week

A Prayer on Mother’s Day

As we celebrate Mother’s Day, we give thanks for our own mother. We thank you for being the wonderful you.

Thank you for all the love you have given.
Thank you for your patience, your understanding and your dedication. Thank you for your advice, your wisdom and for being uniquely you.

Thank you for making many sacrifices, thank you for your total dedication and for doing so many things for me.

You know me better than most. You have been with me through everything. There will never be enough words to say thank you.

You are special every day but on Mother’s Day you are even more special. I pray to you today asking our Loving God to bless you, to keep you in good health and to give you strength, courage, compassion and peace. May you continue to be a woman of love and of hope. May you be blessed today and every day.

And if your Mum is deceased we also remember her with love on this Mother’s Day.Amen
