I took this photo at the foot of Benbulben mountain on the outskirts of Sligo. What a beautiful backdrop for the cottage.

Mindful Quote💕:  Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes. Including you.”: ~ Anne Lamott

Mindful Prayer🙏: Loving God, I know I sometimes need to unplug myself too! I just need to stop, step aside and take a few minutes just for myself. It will be enough to get me going again. Amen

Spiritual Thought For The Week🙏

We don’t know how to look at God. We don’t know where to look. We don’t know what to look for. All we can do is complete the circuit’ ~Richard Rohr

Sometimes our search for God can be confusing and frustrating. We sometimes don’t know where to begin, what to say, how to explain or what we want. It can sometimes be too much and we choose to opt out or leave it to someone else. No one has all the answers on our spiritual journey when it comes to God or no one ever will. But we do know that with God, we have some sense of direction, meaning and purpose to life. Any electric supply needs a circuit for the current to flow. Any stop or gap and it just can’t move. Any spiritual connection that works for us always completes the circuit.
As we journey through the coming week why not invite God into the gaps or holes in our lives and let God do the rest. It’s not about knowing what to say or trying to find all the answers. Once we’re open to God’s blessings we have completed the circuit.
This week the spotlight will also be on Tullamore and the National Ploughing. Thousands of people will head to the ploughing for a great day out. Not everyone who attends actually gets out to see the ploughing itself. But it is a lovely sight watching the old soil getting turned over, bringing up fresh soil waiting for new seed and new beginnings. It’s another image to remind us that on our spiritual journey, we sometimes need a fresh start, to let the old go, be open to a new beginning and gently invite God to help us on whatever that new beginning might be.
