I took this photo yesterday morning soon after sunrise at Carrigaine, Co.Cork. It was the beginning of a beautiful sunny day. Early morning sunlight always brings the best out of walkways and woods.
Mindful Quote💕: “Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.”  ~Martin  Luther King  Jr.

Mindful Prayer🙏: Loving God, thank you for being my source of light and love. May your light and love guide me throughout this day. Amen

Spiritual Thought For The Week🙏

This coming week we gently move into the month of October. We have some beautiful traditional feast days coming up this week. Wednesday (Oct 1st) is the feast of St Therese and she is one of the most popular saints of our time. Her huge appeal is not that she did extraordinary things but that she did the little things extraordinary well. She found that she was closest to God when she was doing the simplest and most mundane tasks.

The world we live in today puts the spotlight on the sensational and the bigger the better. What a beautiful spirituality that can turn this upside down and instead say that the little and small moments are the best of all. It is little wonder that Therese is such a popular saint all over the world today.

As we journey through this month of October, may we find more contentment and ease, in the simple, ordinary and down to earth moments that make up our everyday lives.

Thursday (Oct 2nd) is the feast day of our guardian angel. From an early age we have been taught that we have a guardian angel. But before we were even taught we just knew. Today people of all ages have a beautiful and touching belief in angels. We sense that there is someone special watching over us.

Like many things we take our Guardian Angel for granted. We often forget that they are there as our friend. They are real, active and can best be described as God’s protective love very near and close to us.  A fitting prayer to your Guardian Angel on Thursday and indeed every day might be:

“O Angel of God, my guardian dear, to whom God’s love commits me here. Ever this day, be at my side, to light and guard, to rule and guide. Amen”
