St.Hilary was venerated as a saint while he was alive (315-367). Many of his writings have survived. His major surviving work is on the Trinity. He was the earlies writer of Latin hymns. His feast day today traditionally marks the beginning of the Hilary Term (spring semester) at Oxford and Cambridge universities in England.

Today is his feastday and we ask his many blessings on us. Amen
