While out working in the garden yesterday, this rainbow appeared and of course it was also a lovely photo moment.

On This Day

On Jan 4th 2021 South Korea, already the country with the world’s lowest birth rate, recorded more deaths than births for the first time

Significance of this day

Today is World Braille Day. It celebrates the birth of Louis Braille, inventor of the reading and writing system used by millions of blind and partially sighted people all over the world. Louis Braille, the inventor of braille, was born in France on January 4th, 1809. Blinded in both eyes in an accident as a child, Braille still managed to allow his blindness inspire him on to greater achievements.

Birthdays Today

Coco Jones (Movie Actress) is 26

James Milner (Soccer Player) is 38

Quote for Today

“Positive anything is better than negative nothing.” ~Elbert Hubbard

Did you know that..

Did you know that Braille is a real language like any other. There is a common misconception that braille is a false language. Braille is the tactile alphabet that can be used to write in multiple languages.

As we look forward to celebrating the Epiphany on January 6th I share the following new video

Video for the Week🎥

The video is called  ‘The Epiphany – It’s OK to do something different’

Here is my Thought for the Week:

A  Prayer for a Happy New Year

As we start this New Year may we walk gently.

May we be kind and gentle with ourselves each day.

May we have courage and hope during the difficult days

May we hold the light for others when we sense their darkness and difficulty

May we take lots of small steps rather than those random big leaps

May we trust our God,  the creator of all life knowing we have a beautiful purpose in life.

May we try to do our best each day knowing this is all we can do.

May we treasure the gift that is today knowing that the real treasure is the beauty and simplicity that you bring to this day.

May we do our best to make the most of this coming year
