While out for a walk yesterday evening at 5.15pm the skyline was still bright and another lovely sign of a stretch in our evenings. And then 11 ducks passed me by on their way home before it got dark and of course it made for a lovely photo opportunity!

On This Day

On January 5th 1933 construction began on the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco,  a suspension bridge that was once the longest in the world. (More in Did you know fact below)

On January 5th 2023 the Funeral Mass for Pope Emeritus Benedict took place and was presided over by Pope Francis in St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome.

As we look forward to celebrating the Epiphany tomorrow January 6th I share the following new video

Video for the Week🎥

The video is called  ‘The Epiphany – It’s OK to do something different’

Here is my Thought for the Week:

A  Prayer for a Happy New Year

As we start this New Year may we walk gently.

May we be kind and gentle with ourselves each day.

May we have courage and hope during the difficult days

May we hold the light for others when we sense their darkness and difficulty

May we take lots of small steps rather than those random big leaps

May we trust our God,  the creator of all life knowing we have a beautiful purpose in life.

May we try to do our best each day knowing this is all we can do.

May we treasure the gift that is today knowing that the real treasure is the beauty and simplicity that you bring to this day.

May we do our best to make the most of this coming year
