Significance Of Today

Not just today but all this week is Words Matter Week.

Words are the basis of all communication for humans, no matter what language they are in or how they are constructed. Even babies begin communicating by making sounds that will eventually be given meaning and used for understanding. Whether spoken or written, whispered or shouted, the choice of words we use makes a difference in how words are interpreted.

Words Matter Week is here to act as a reminder of how important words are, every single day. The hope is that people will take their word choices seriously and consider more carefully the words they use. Because words do matter.

Interesting Quote for Today

“A chain is no stronger than its weakest link, and life is after all a chain.” ~William James

Did You Know😇

Did you know that our oceans are a huge body of salt water that covers about 71 percent of the Earth’s surface.

Video for the Week🎥🎥

The latest video is called ‘Prayer to the Holy Spirit’ to coincide with all those making confirmation in so many of our parishes at this time.

Thought For The Week

Confirmations are up and running in many of our parishes at the moment. The following prayer to the Holy Spirit has been put together for those making their Confirmation but it can also be said by anyone.

Prayer to the Holy Spirit

I pray to the Holy Spirit, to be with me each day but especially today.

Thank you for being with me on my special journey through life.

Thank you for the happy moments, the good days and helping me to make the most of my gifts and talents and all that I am good at.

I know sometimes it is not easy. Help me to be brave when life gets tough. Give me courage, hope and strength to know that I will get through whatever is difficult.

Thank you for guiding and directing me. Help me discover more about the journey of life in small steps and one day at a time.

And finally help me to remember that nothing is going to happen today that you and I can’t handle together.

Amen
