This was a section of the huge crowd that turned out for the Cork 100 Eucharistic Procession but unfortunately it simply poured rain from start to finish!!!
There were umbrellas everywhere of all colours and shapes! But it didn’t dampen the enthusiasm of so many people to be part of this historic occasion.

Cork’s 100th Eucharist Procession took place in the pouring rain yesterday. It could not have been more wet! And yet over 5000 braved the conditions.
But it was more than just the numbers yesterday. It was a simple but powerful reminder: faith still matters, hope still endures and the Gospel message of love continues to inspire hearts today

Spiritual Thought For The Week

Sunday Homily
Yesterday we celebrated Corpus Christi. It is not always easy to explain, but its core belief is that Jesus did not leave us just a memory but is still very much with us. The Eucharist is not a reminder of Jesus as a historical figure, but that Jesus still continues to nourish, strengthen and journey with his people. Love always looks for a way to remain present.
Bread is one of the world’s most staple foods nourishing millions of people. Fresh bread tastes beautiful. Old stale bread tastes awful. When we receive communion it is a beautiful fresh moment. We are touched and blessed with God’s love. The presence of Jesus is with us.
Communion gives us life and hope.
Communion gives us courage and strength on our daily journey.
Communion is a personal moment.
Communion is a personal connection.
It is God blessing you with love.
Corpus Christi reminds us that God’s love always finds a way to be present. The Eucharist is a living gift and always will be.
