‘Cow Jam!’ This photo is from my archive and was taken at the Priests Leap near Bantry in West Cork and it also has got it’s own spiritual message.
Most cities have to deal with traffic jams but in places like West Cork you may have to deal with cow jams too! These cows were in no rush out of the way during the week and how right they were!
It has been well documented how we rush and race everywhere. If there isn’t time to slow down, we miss the heartbeat of life, we miss what’s really important, we miss all the simple and beautiful moments. The beauty of today just slips us by.
Does every moment of every day have to be so busy? Of course not. The cows on the road remind us of the importance of a quieter pace in the midst of busyness. Quiet time and quiet moments are good for our soul. Only we we can make them happen. Psalm 46:10 sums it up best: “Be still and know that I am God.”
